Why do some fares show a star icon?

Rui Figueiredo -

A blue filled star icon indicates that there are carriers in the journey recommended by the IATA Consolidator agency and a white filled star with a blue stroke indicates there are carriers in the journey recommended by the non-IATA agency.

Example:
In the example below, a user from the non-IATA agency has made a search for a round-trip journey from Lisbon to London. TAP is a recommended carrier of both the IATA Consolidator agency and the non-IATA agency while British Airways is only a recommended carrier of the IATA Consolidator agency.

The recommended carriers list can be found and managed in the “Settings” area, which is only available for super users. Learn how to build a recommended carriers list here.
