How to Request and Configure JSON API Credentials in MyTravelport

Overview

To use features that depend on Travelport TRIPSERVICES API credentials, you must first create a Managed Identity in MyTravelport and associate it with the correct Access Group (PCC).

Once the Managed Identity is created, you will receive the required credentials by email. These credentials must then be entered in the application configuration area.

Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

  • Access to MyTravelport
  • Permission to manage users and credentials
  • The correct PCC / Access Group
  • A label/name for the Managed Identity (for example: TMA)

Steps to Create a Managed Identity

1. Log in to MyTravelport
Access MyTravelport with your user credentials.

2. Open Credential Access Manager
From the top menu, go to:

Administration > Managed Users > Credential Access Manager

3. Create a Managed Identity
Under Managed Identities, click: Add Managed Identity

4. Fill in the Managed Identity details
When creating the Managed Identity:

  • Enter a Label
    Example: TMA
  • Search for and select the correct Access Group (PCC)
  • Move the selected Access Group to the right-hand side
  • Click Add Identity

5. Receive the credentials by email
After the identity is created, Travelport will send an email containing the required credentials.

Configure the Credentials in the Application

After completing the procedure in MyTravelport, open the application configuration area.

And enter the following details:

  • Username / Identity ID (format similar to TP...)
  • Password
  • Access Group (long alphanumeric string)

Save the configuration to activate the integration.

Important Security Note
These credentials are sensitive and should be handled securely.

They should only be entered in the appropriate configuration area of the application and shared internally only with authorized users.
